Murphy's Track Club

Murphy's Track Club is suited for all levels of walkers and runners that want to improve their fitness level.  The program employs the interval training concept to maximize the individuals performance.  Interval training provides a series of relatively short measured and controlled stresses to the individual's cardio-vascular system intertwined with specified recovery periods. 

In the past, athletes in this program running 5K, 10K, triathlons and marathons have realized the benefits through reduced race times.  Individuals not running a race will also see benefits related to their increased fitness level.  The Track Club is an integral part of the Marathon Training Programs.

  • 21 week program

  • Weekly interval training sessions in a supportive group setting

    • Personalized interval performance targets

    • Personalized recommended recovery period (ATP)

  • Weekly tracking and monitoring of performance

  • Professional coaching and fitness training developed and delivered by experienced coach and athlete - Marie Murphy

  • Fitness test measuring VO2 max (measure of body's oxygen utilization efficiency)

  • Group meets for about 1 1/2 hours

  • Group serves Santa Monica, Los Angeles' Westside, the South Bay and the San Fernando Valley
